Prepare MS Word documents for business and academics.

Format business documents using MS Word.

In this week's lab work, you will format a flyer with borders. To learn how to use MS Word to complete this task,

1.      In Microsoft Office Word 2010, please review:

·         Chapter 1, "Creating, Formatting, and Editing a Word Document with Pictures," pages WD 1-62.

Lab Work  (30 points)

It is time to use what you learned about using themes, formatting of text, inserting images, and page borders to create a flyer. For this week's lab work, please complete all three of the following files and submit at the same time: (NOTE: the files you will need for this week's lab work are located in Doc Sharing within a folder titled "Student Data Files")

·         Apply Your Knowledge: Modifying Text and Formatting a Document, page WD 54-55.

·         In the Lab, Lab 2: Creating a Flyer with a Resized Picture, WD 60-61.

·         Cases and Places 2: Design and Create a Yard Sale Flyer, WD 63.

**Instructions for submitting multiple assignments in the same Dropbox

To submit multiple assignments to the same dropbox, open the dropbox, click submit assignment, select the dropbox, click browse, select the first file and then click the "save and attach another" button.  Follow the same process for each file. After attaching the last file click "attach” and then click the submit button.  You should see all three assignments in the dropbox together.

**Note, this should be included for any assignment that has more than 1 part for the same dropbox including final projects (for example, CGS2060 computer applications).

Save your document(s) with a file name that includes your name course code-section number title.

·         For example: JaneSmith CGS2501-12 LabWork_1.docx.

To submit your Lab work, go to the Dropbox at the top of your online course and click "Submit Assignment."

Submit this document to the Week 1: Lab Work basket in the Dropbox.
