CGD318: Public Relations Practices & Promotional Writing Week 1

1. What is Public Relations?
    
   Assess a minimum of two definitions of public relations from the course materials and your own research. Compare and contrast the major differences and interrelationships between public relations and journalism. Has public relations influenced your buyer behavior? Synthesize the course materials and other research to support your response. Respond substantively to at least two of your classmates’ postings. 
    
2. Public Relations and Crisis Management
    
   Review the video, Jack Welch on Toyota's PR Disaster. How does Dr. Welch assess Toyota’s performance? Based on the course materials and the video and other research, synthesize the concepts and give an illustration of how Toyota might have changed public perception using PR in responding to this crisis. Respond substantively to at least two of your classmates’ postings.
