The primary focus of gay-rights groups is to allow same sex marriages for the intended legal benefits of health insurance, passing of property and many other advantages of the traditional legal marriage contract. However it is the underlying moral and ethical issues that seem to dominate the conversation on this subject. A subject we will explore this week.

For your individual work this week, please answer the following:

• In the readings for Chapter 8 of your text there are two sections to review for this paper, “Justifications for Law” and “Paradigms of Law”

• Using at least one of the principles of “Justifications for Law”,  and one “Paradigm” of law, justify or criticize the legalization of same sex marriages.

For this assignment, I expect that you will use the text and also two other quality sources.
