A car starts from rest at x = 0 and t = 0, travelling in a straight line. The car speeds up and then slows down until it comes back to rest at a distance of 0.900 km from where it started. For the first quarter of the distance, its acceleration is +2.25 m/s2 , while for the last three quarters of the distance its acceleration is −0.750 m/s2 .
