Hello Professor and Classmates,

       To be totally honest I had no clue or knowledge on a consultant and what they do I’ve heard of them but didn’t know their role in business. Therefore before I begin my discussion I needed to find out what is their role in the business and marketing world. According to research my understanding is that they sell services, that is, advice and action on behalf of the client. The challenge is how to take your business to the next level, how to increase your income and be recognized for your work, this is the service/ role consultants provide to their clients.Marketing consulting firms help small businesses write marketing plans that address their specific business goals.

Q: What kind of marketing strategy would you use for your consulting business and why?

      The marketing strategy that I would use for my consulting firm would be to work with my clients on strategic planning and problem solving. It is my believe that in reality, Strategic Planning is a mixture of different problem types, and that understanding that mix can greatly reduce the frustration/conflict and improve the quality of the business outcomes. Also, show clients how to develop business skills and knowledge on their company and products.

Here is a list of strategies that my consulting firm would use:

  • Formulate long-term and short-term marketing goals

  • Determine if there is a paying market for their products and services

  • Illustrate marketing campaigns

  • Design internet marketing strategies

  • Ensure that a brand or image reflects the company

  • Help promote advertising  

What would your implementation plan be?

“Marketing plans should be maintained on an annual basis, at a minimum” (SBA.gov). Implementing an effective marketing plan takes hard work and dedication. In order to achieve results I must take the necessary time to get to know you, and your business also, the industry you’re in. Then develop a marketing plan for your business that is to make a list of the primary objectives. Once these are identified the overall objectives, target markets and other marketing fundamentals.These are the things that are needed to forecast what will happen by the end of the year.
