Discussion Questions Week 4:

·         Setting goals can be effective motivation. What might a manager and employee do to make goal setting effective? How might an employee effectively discuss goal setting with his or her manager?

·         You are a manager of a 5-member customer service team. Two members of the team are new stars, and the other three members are average workers. The two-star team members are competitive, and their competition creates friction within your team. As a manager, what is your role in resolving this conflict? What might you do to respond to this conflict? Why?
