Use three original examples to explain and criticize Dewey’s standard for evaluating societies.

First, state Dewey’s standard.

Next, give an example of a society that meets Dewey’s standard, and also seems like a good society.

Then, give an example of a society that doesn’t meet Dewey’s standard, and also seems like a bad society.

Finally, give a counterexample to Dewey’s standard: a society that is bad according to Dewey’s standard but that actually seems good, or a society that is good according to Dewey’s standard but that actually seems bad.
