Objective/Features: 

Pretend you are writing a report for “senior management.” The final project will be produced as if it were a formal report to senior management with a professional looking document. 

The project, following the structure of a formal report, will analyze some aspect of business, education, nonprofit, or government industries and will pose a review and recommendations from a serious study of an issue or problem. 

The report project may be:

-          A business plan

-          A proposal for a corporate or institutional change

-          An analysis of a specific business situation

-          A marketing or advertising plan

-          Any other topic you have suggested and have had approved 

Outline: 

-          Design a table of contents

-          Pick an industry-business, education, government, nonprofit, etc.

-          Briefly discuss the industry’s market/history

-          Find a problem or source for improvement or comparison in the industry

-          Propose a solution to the problem or an idea to improve a process

-          Suggest the benefits of your proposal

-          Conclusion-summarize why there is an issue, what your proposal is, and its benefits

-          Number of pages: 6-8 (including cover page, table of contents, bibliography) 

 

Grading Rubric: 

1. Discussion of Industry/Market using adequate sources and research 10 points

2. Realistic proposal with strong evidence of benefits 5 points

 

3. Spelling/Grammar/Punctuation/Following guidelines learned " simple english & straight to the point "10 points
