business law
To have an understanding of how a company chooses a trademark, take on the role of an entrepreneur. Decide on the nature of your business and then describe to us your goods or services. Create and share with us at least three possible marks for your company (fitting into three of the five different classifications for marks). Explain which classifications the proposed marks fit into and why. Which mark(s) are more likely to receive trademark protection and why? For example, you grow cranberries that will be turned into juice. Possible marks would be ocean spray (arbitrary), crantastic (suggestive), and cranberry bog (generic). (A complete answer will explain why the marks fit into the categories and which mark(s) are protectable.)
