business case
SuperClassIndividual Assignment #3 (W8IA)
Basic Directions:
· Each student is to critically analyze the Apple case found in Baltzan, Chapter 1. In particular, each student updates the case information by new research to include Apple’s other product lines and recent events, and decides the lessons that have been learned for information systems managers, in a succinct report that includes a results-filled executive summary. · Each student also researches for evidence, if any, that Apple uses any of the following in its business activities: “business intelligence”, “enterprise resource planning (ERP)”, “customer relationship management (CRM)”, “data mining”, and ”intelligent systems”, and documents the results in the report · You can see specifics of how you will be graded in our Week 8 Sample Gradesheet, which contains the grading rubric. Note as usual the Executive Summary contains a large percentage of this week's weight. |
In successfully accomplishing this case analysis, it will be important for you to:
· 1) Extract the lessons of the Apple case as updated. Here you should consider the 10 critical-thinking questions found in Browne & Keeley, Asking the Right Questions,

· 4) Use good English, so as not to denigrate your worthy thoughts by making spelling or grammatical errors. See http://owl.english.purdue.edu
· 5) Employ the format found in the topic, An Outline for the Text Assignments in This Course.
· 6) Not forget the tasked, results-filled Executive Summary.
