Write a 4 page paper (11 point font, 1.5 line spacing) excluding diagrams utilizing a specific business model to focus on disruptive innovation. Review the attached PPT to understand the model.

Disruptive innovations can shake the very foundations of prevailing business models. For example, the Apple iPhone and Cirque du Soleil greatly changed the underlying dynamics of business models for mobile technology and entertainment. The important lesson for managers is that business models are in flux and that today’s “yellow brick road” model can turn into a “world turned upside-down.”

Choose an industry or a competitive context and categorize business models based on their theoretical and actual performance. Discuss how disruptive innovations have shifted these models and the coping strategies needed for businesses to succeed. Again, be creative but be focused. This project is a great way to map changes in the industries of automobiles, electronics, entertainment, and education/consulting.
