Using the US Census Bureau website at http://www.census.gov/, investigate race, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, and sexual orientation statistics in the United States. See if you can find the buying power for each major diversity group. Now, analyze the business case (i.e. reasoning which justifies) for diversity using these statistics.  Don't forget to answer the following questions in a 2-3 page Word document as you complete this informal analysis:

1. What are the opportunities and challenges for businesses today- related to diversity?
2. What could effective diversity management practices look like?
3. Why is diversity management a profitable initiative?
4. How could a manager learn more about managing a diverse workforce?
