Today was our first group meeting and we were sorry that you could not join us. This meeting really revolved around setting initial goals deadlines for the research and paper.  Our first order of business was refining our topic in order to make the research more manageable.  As a group, we decided to separate the research into five different sections and divided the sections randomly as follows:
