Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses.

Read the Forbes article “The Difference between Coaching and Mentoring.” Coaching and mentoring are both functions of HRM.  Many of the characteristics are similar. However, the two techniques are best used for different situations. Describe the main differences between coaching and mentoring. Give an example of a scenario in which coaching is the better method. Give an example in which mentoring is the better method.

Reference and cite the textbook in your original post. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts.
