Short Paper Assignment
  For this assignment, you are to construct a brief paper/ essay of 500 - 700 words (not including the title page and references page) that addresses the following:  

Women have made great progress in the workforce since the Equal Pay Act of 1963. However, there is still a wide wage gap between men and women. President Obama has vowed to reduce the wage gap between genders.   In the first paragraph of your paper, describe and give a brief history of the wage gap between men and women in America. In the remainder of your paper, discuss your views on why it still exists; how it can be “closed” and whether or not you think it will be resolved while President Obama is still in office (support your answer).   

Be sure to follow these guidelines: 
Use APA format for your paper  

Include a title page and references page 

Use the textbook readings as well as outside professional resources (i.e., journal articles) to support your work  Include appropriate citations and references for all source material (including the text)  

Review the Assignments Rubric before you begin your paper to serve as a guide to expectations for the assignment  

Attach the rubric the end of your paper when you submit it to the Dropbox (2 Points will be deducted if you do not attach the rubric).
