Japanese mythology is rich in animal stories. The task for this assignment is to choose an animal (Namazu, Kitsune, or other) and write an original myth for that animal. Do a bit of research about these animals and choose one that will make a unique story. Remember, the Internet is full of examples, but this should be an original story. Do not copy another story.

Students can take an animal that has been discussed in the content and create a new story for it or choose an animal found during research and create an original tale for that animal.

The story should consist of at least three well-developed, grammatically correct paragraphs. A well-developed paragraph should consist of at least 8-10 sentences.
