The task for this part of the course is to create word images that represent various aspects studied so far. Students should create at least two, representing two different sections of mythology.
The general process for creating a word cloud involves typing words that describe the object of the cloud. For instance, if you were creating a word cloud about cookies, you might type in the following words: yummy, sugar, delicious, chocolate, warm, gooey. The program then takes those words and creates an image. Take a screenshot of the image and submit it accordingly.
Each of the following websites is unique in its own way. Take a look at each one before choosing one to use.
Visit the "Helpers" widget in the right column of your course home page for access to student resources. In it, you will find links to the Student Handbook, Guidance Center, Media Center and Student Toolbox. The Student Toolbox contains helpful tutorials on Web 2.0 tools such as these.
Students should submit copies of each image to the dropbox. However, depending on the website used, students should submit the actual image, or the link provided by the website.
