This assignment is a 5 page paper offering a summary and critique of an influential text in the field of leadership & change.
The summary will be evaluated by the following criteria:
(a) Clarity and coherence; how well it captures the essence of the book and how logically and clearly the book’s contents are presented
(b) Critical reflection; how thoroughly and thoughtfully you critique the book’s ideas and integrate them with the knowledge gained in this course.
you should demonstrate the link between at least three change strategies discussed in class and the ideas presented in the book.
Discuss the appropriate use of these strategies and articulate the theory behind the strategy and then apply the strategy to specific situations presented in the book.
the summary should also include the three most important ideas that you take away from the book (what should your peers know about this book without having read it),
the most important questions that you would pose to your peers based on your summary and critique.
Indicate how the ideas from the book will inform your own leadership and change efforts, include an articulation of your own point of view about effectively managing or leading change.
