I recently got a new blood sugar meter that connects via Bluetooth to my phone, and a dedicated app that receives and stores all my readings. It also has an option to upload that data directly to my doctor. Because of the benefits, my insurance company paid 100% of the cost for the new meter and the testing strips. Using that info with other apps that can track other data such as food and exercise, I've been able to better manage my sugars and have not only lost weight but feel better. I have a friend who has a blood pressure device that also transmits the data to his phone...there's all sorts of great new products out there with tools that can simplify all these things for is.
