As we've discussed, formal performances happen when a piece of art or another type of performance is designated as such.  A relationship with an audience is formed, and we all agree that we are participating in some way, in this ritual.  

Informal performance, however, can be anywhere.  Consider your life since the semester began.  Describe in 400 words the occurrence of an informal performance.  How did it come about?  What was its purpose?  How did the unwitting audience respond?  How was it similar or dissimilar to formal performances we've evaluated in this course?  How does your informal performance relate to society?
