Imagine that you are a molecular biologist and that you have been asked to prepare a 2 - 3 page research paper to educate your colleagues on the molecular basis of a disease

You should begin by describing the proper molecular structure and function of the affected areas, e.g. if you were describing a metabolic disorder, you would first review the mechanism and molecules involved in proper metabolism. Then, you would describe the cause of the disorder and discuss how proper functioning has become disrupted. Finally, relate the molecular dysfunction to the symptoms of the disease.
