Conservation Project

Over the next 3 weeks you will complete a project based on one of the following environmental topics. 

1. Define the problem. 
Where is it happening?
What is it?

(2 paragraphs, 3 sentences each)

2. Why is the habitat/group of animals important ecologically? 
DESCRIBE how five animals are affected by the problem.

3. What legal protections are currently in place to mediate/rectify/solve the problem? 
Are there national/international laws or agreements?
What national/international governmental agencies enforce the laws/agreements?

(2 paragraphs, 3 sentences each)

4. Find a conservation organization (governmental OR non-governmental) and describe what they are doing. 
Do they use science-based conservation? (Do they offer journal article references?; Do they use the scientific method to present information, or are they just going for an emotional reaction?)
What would you add to their plan?

10 point deduction for poor grammar (5 errors: incomplete sentences; incorrect use of too, your, there;, etc.) PROOFREAD OUT LOUD

This project is due Sunday, NOVEMBER 6 at midnight. You must also post your answers in Conservation Wiki* assignment, also by midnight, NOVEMBER 6. Plan ahead--make sure you know how to set up your Wiki page ahead of time.

Attach a WORD doc or PDF in this assignment. Copy and paste your entire document in the WIKI. Your assignment will be graded HERE, so be sure to UPLOAD your assignment by NOVEMBER 6.

After everyone posts their project on a Wiki page, you can proceed to Conservation Project, Part Two.
