The objective of this research paper is to explain the benefits of implementing Microsoft Secure Software Development Lifecycle. Software Developers perform security measures during the software development phase that identify and determine whether vulnerabilities and security issues exist. Throughout the paper I will also discuss the process of the building the Microsoft SSDLC. In doing so I will explain the basic software system security principles, the dangerous effects of not properly securing software throughout the lifecycle, and issues that may occur if the software is not properly secured during the development This paper will discuss some of the known vulnerabilities and exploits of not implementing Microsoft Secure Software Development Lifecycle in the context and framework of the SSDLC.
