At the beginning of the semester, you were asked to participate in a survey. In this project, you will extend the results of your data to the population that is represented by you using appropriate hypothesis tests from chapters 11-15 in the textbook.
Data 2: Using the survey data for Project 2 Part 2 (150 randomly chosen student results), you will answer the following research questions using distinct hypothesis tests (do not repeat any procedures) and make conclusions about the population to which the data extends.
1. Is the true mean age of students higher than 21?
2. Is the true proportion of students who floss at least once a day a majority?
3. Is there a difference in the true mean exercise hours for students during the week and the weekend?
4. Is there a difference in the true proportions of males and females who wash their hands after every visit to the toilet?
5. Is there a difference in the true mean height of students based on if they always carry an umbrella?
6. Is there a relationship between sex and how a student feels about their weight?
7. Can a student's GPA predict their weight?
Work 2: Answer the seven research questions above by setting up the hypotheses, checking the conditions, calculating the test statistic and p-value, and making a final conclusion about the population. Use Minitab for all statistical calculations and graphs. Do not do any calculations or drawings by hand. Quiz questions will be randomly drawn about all the pieces listed above such that each question may have different piece asked about in your quiz. Please be prepared for all the pieces listed at the beginning of this paragraph.
