1. Post a choice of clinical focus and a specific and credible clinical guideline that will be used for the PowerPoint® Assignment in Week 9. Please post a link to the full clinical guideline that is being proposed.

CASE STUDY:  Open with a case study or "story" setting the stage for the evidence based change or depicting the benefits of making the evidence based change

CLINICAL CONCERN- Identify a meaningful patient centered CLINICAL concern specific to the identified problem in your place of practice. What bad patient outcomes do you see where you work that you would like to improve?  These poor outcomes are the clinical concern.  Be sure the concern is responsive to NURSING interventions that will result  in nursing-sensitive patient outcomes.

SETTING- Identify the kind of setting in which you see the clinical concern (hospital, nursing home, community health, school, etc).  CAUTION:  The setting should be in your current practice setting.  This is a real problem that you wish to solve.

POPULATION: Identify the Target population (what population will your proposed change help?

INTERVENTION: Clarify the evidence based solution you wish to implement that will "fix" the problem.  Provide a LINK to the specific CLINICAL GUIDELINE that you wish to implement.

COMPARISON: Identify the current standard of practice addressing this concern

OUTCOME: Describe the specific and measurable OUTCOMES you expect to result from the implementation of the change in clinical practice... the outcome must be patient-centered and nursing sensitive.

TIME: Specify the timeframe you expect the project to take.
