Instructional Objectives for this activity:
Demonstrate persuasion, information, and counseling interview techniques and questions.

This week™s teamwork is in two parts. First, you will complete an individual component, then as a group, you will develop questions based on interviewing techniques.

Participate in the teamwork activity by completing the following:

Scenario: Anna, a police officer, is interviewing Virginia, a witness to a drive-by shooting. Anna is set to interview Virginia at 8:00AM tomorrow morning.

Individual:

• Each group member should define an interview style and argue for or against the use of this style as Anna™s interview technique.
• Develop a list of questions based on the best technique style.
• The group should have at least 20 interview questions based off this style.
• Also consider, would your technique change if Virginia was a suspect rather than a witness?
