Scenario - You are the CEO of a mid-size passenger airline company for the past ten years.  You have recently received several negative status reports from your market, maintenance, operation, and finance departments, which has resulted in a major loss of profits.  In the market report, the same advertisements have been used for the past eight years; in the maintenance report, your aircraft are aging and resulting in a 40% increase in required maintenance to keep them flying safely (folks have been cutting corners to get the aircraft up and back on the schedule); in operations, because of the increase in maintenance, it is difficult to provide ample aircraft to meet the flight schedule; and finance is reporting a substantial loss in profits.
