Scenario: Pepsico, Inc. is in need of a production supervisor, finance analyst, fleet mechanic, food strategy manager, quality control technician and procurement manager at its Purchase, NY location. Their hiring process can be read here.

You are their recruiter tasked with filling these jobs at that location. Select one job and describe how you would recruit applicants for this position following their process. Remember, you will need to understand the job by reading their job description online.

After reading the scenario, conduct independent research to help support your paper. Then in a 2 - 3 page paper address the following:

  • Provide an overview of recruitment at Pepsico
  • Identify 3 of their core values
  • Describe the recruiting steps for this position
    • Briefly describe the position's main duties
    • Internal recruitment process you would perform
    • External recruitment process you would perform
  • Provide your conclusion and make sure to adress the importance of recruitment
  • Be sure to use APA style with at least two sources cited

Assignment #2

o assist you with this assignment, complete an internet search on the current hiring practices and assessment tests employed by Home Depot. 

You just became the head of staffing for Home Depot. You were surprised to learn that the company had never validated the pre-employment tests (a/k/a hiring tests) it uses to assess job candidates for its store sales jobs. You research the tests they use. Realizing the legal liability involved, you create a report to present to top management about the kinds of tests used, the concern about validation being needed, and what you would recommend doing to validate the tests with a sample of current employees. 

After conducting independent research on the hiring practices of Home Depot, describe the assessment process used. Then in a 2 - 3 page paper address the following: 

. Provide an overview of the purpose of pre-employment testing 
. Describe the tests currently being conducted 
. Explain what validation is and why it is important to conduct 
. Describe what you would recommend doing 
. Provide your conclusion 
. Be sure to use APA style with at least two sources cited

Your new team for Health Care, Inc may consist of team members from different locations. Construct a plan that ensures a virtual team's performance will meet the team's goals.

Your plan should consider the following:

  • Time frame
  • Communication methods
  • Communication style
  • How to deal with individual team members performance
  • How to deal with a dysfunctional virtual team

As part of your plan, create a communications skills evaluation process for team members. In other words, how would you evaluate each team member's communication skills?

Read the article below and complete a 1-2 page article review. The article review should include the following:

  • Summary of the article.
  • What the key points of the article.
    • What are the top three items you feel are important?
  • According the article, what management strategies work best for virtual teams? Do you agree with these strategies? Disagree?
