Research an event or case where negotiation made a significant and favorable

difference. A contemporary situation may be used, but not one in which you had a personal

involvement. Be aware that you will also use this research for your oral presentation and second

paper. Write a 4-5 pager paper (not including title, abstract and reference pages) using APA standards.

Describe the primary parties and conflicts.

Explain why parties could not resolve the issues without negotiation.

Include biographical information, and experience of the negotiators, if available.

Present any traits, skills, processes and circumstances that were credited for a successful outcome.

Summarize how the outcome affected the parties in conflict and the broader community.

Cite at least three reliable, peer-reviewed, accurate, and separate sources.
