You have developed the Scope Statement and WBS breakdown for the city Green Space project. You are now tasked with developing a network diagram that will show the overall duration of the project.

Assume that the attached is the WBS that you developed for the project. Also attached are the definitions of the level 3 WBS activities and the expected durations for each activity.

1)      Develop a network diagram for the project. Identify the critical path for the project. What is the overall project duration in weeks?

2)      Assume you have presented the above diagram and project duration to the client. The client has asked you to reduce the schedule by 2 weeks. How can you manipulate your schedule to achieve this reduction? You may not reduce the durations of the activities.

Note: For the purposes of this exercise ignore the WBS activity ‘Design, Project Management and Control’.
