Assignment 2: Qualitative Paradigms

In this assignment, you will gain an understanding of qualitative paradigms for your future dissertation.

Tasks:

• Compare two qualitative paradigms—"a framework for observation and understanding what we see and how we understand it" (Bernard & Ryan, 2010; Hennink, Hutter, & Bailey, 2011).
• Discuss the impact of understanding the research, reflexivity, researcher's voice, and confidentiality in qualitative research conclusions and applications.

In about 750 words, write a paper including the following:

• A description and reference of each of the two qualitative paradigms selected
• The similarities and differences between the two qualitative paradigms
• The impact of understanding the research, reflexivity, researcher's voice, and confidentiality in qualitative research conclusions and applications
