In this assignment, you will review five to seven scholarly articles related to transformative practices in higher education and the manner in which leaders have faced resistance in the midst of change. The goal of this assignment is to collect data that will help you gain a broader perspective about instituting changes in an organization despite challenges you may face along the way.

 

Tasks:

 

Create a three-to-five page paper addressing the following:

 

    Create an annotated bibliography by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing five to seven resources that focus on the theme "Keeping the Transformation Going in the Face of Significant Resistance within the Community." The articles must pertain to higher education as this is the main focus of the course.

    Provide detailed annotated bibliographies from current peer-reviewed articles.

    Each annotated bibliographies should be between 150–200 words and include the following information:

        A detailed summary of the article: Do not use direct quotes. Make sure you acknowledge your sources in the body paragraphs.

        The critique of the article: Explain whether you agree or disagree with the ideas and approaches presented by the authors. Discuss your positions.

        The significance of the article: Discuss the manner in which you might use the information you have gathered for your final project. If you do not believe the information is valuable to you, explain why.

    Once you have completed the annotated bibliographies, provide a 2- to 3-page analysis paper and respond to the following question:

        How can leaders keep the momentum of change going in the face of significant resistance?

    Compile your annotated bibliographies and analysis paper into one document.
