Many students, before taking a course like ACCT326, believed that an AIS was simply hardware and software (an information system). Many textbooks, including your readings, will show that an AIS is more than hardware and software. What has led to the misunderstanding that an AIS consist of only hardware and software components? To support your response, perform a search on the Internet or via UMUC’s online library to find an article that supports your recommendation (excluding the readings from this class).
