 Evaluating Sheriff Arpaio’s Policies

Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio is one of the most controversial sheriffs in the United States. His “Tent City” jail (for more information, see the videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch? or the websitehttp://www.mcso.org/JailInformation/TentCity.aspx) is infamous for offenders living in non-air conditioned tents, making inmates work on chain gangs, and having male inmates wear pink underwear.
