Assignment 1: Ethical Issues in Information Systems

Choose an ethics issue found within the textbook. (Hacking, computer viruses, malware, etc....) 

Write a 4-5 page research paper in which you:

1. Present a summary of the issue.
2. Express your own opinion or position on the issue.
3. Elaborate on any possible or proposed solutions to any problem identified by the issue.
4. Research and cite at least five (5) scholarly sources. 

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
• Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

• Evaluate the ethical concerns that information systems raise in society and the impact of information systems on crime, terrorism, or war.
• Use technology and information resources to research issues in information management.
• Write clearly and concisely about management information systems using proper writing mechanics.
