Students are expected to do the reading each week and come prepared to discuss the material in depth with their classmates. For each reading assignment, students should take detailed notes on the article’s main points and argument, consider how it relates to other material covered in the class, and develop an opinion regarding the arguments of the author.

Every week, students must write a thoughtful response (>75 words) to each reading on the Discussion Blog Responses can include questions, comments, associations, reflections, etc. Each Discussion Blog post is 3 points and will reflect the extent to which you have understood and engaged with the reading.
