Art class
One Thing That Is, One Thing That Is Not: You will find an object that looks like, but is not, a sculpture. You will
also find a sculpture that resembles, but is not, an object. You will write a two-page paper in which you
describe the object and the sculpture and discuss the difference. For example, how do you know which is
which? What, specifically, are the cues that tell you something is a sculpture or an object? Ask yourself
questions about location, production method, and functionality. If something has a function, does that mean it
is not art?
