Art Appreciation

You will write a 1-2 page review of film. You may choose to have either a positive, negative, or mixed reaction to the work in your paper. First, I am looking for you to support your argument by application of the elements and principles of formal analysis in your review. The other forms of analysis such as iconographic, contextual, social and/or biographical should be part of your review as well. You will also need to convey an understanding as to why the film is considered important or groundbreaking in the art and history of film.

Type your 1 to 2 page review, double-spaced with 1 inch margins top, bottom and sides using Times New Roman 11 point font.

Content of Review – How cogent is the argument supported by the use of formal, iconographic, biographical, historical and social analysis as it relates to the work or the show?- 80%

Analysis of the Film’s Impact- 10%

Grammar and Diction- 10%
