Argumentative Essay for critical thinking class

Prepare an argumentative essay (5-6 pages) based on the question "Should the United States provide foreign aid to developing nations?"

Such a question is not yet a thesis, which you will frame in the form of a claim. Bassham (pp.393-394) will be providing tips on how to frame your thesis.

While Bassham discusses some different ways of organizing an argumentative essay, I would like you to be pretty “bare bones” about this. State your thesis early and directly. The old “Tell-em what you’re going to say, say it, and then tell-em you said it” approach pretty well describes what I would like you to do in this paper.
