TV show discussion and start an argument. Pick one that discusses a show you also like to watch, and then argue the opposite of the student's claim. So for example, if a student argued "Family Guy makes me dumber," your argument (and subject line) would be: "How Family Guy Makes Me Smarter."
In the body of the post, try to use evidence from Johnson and the TV show to prove your claim.
Remember, concepts like multiple threading, flashing arrows and social networks can help you determine if a show is making you think or not. Think less about surface topics (what the show is about) and focus more on the show's demands on the viewer. Do you have to work or engage yourself to watch the show? If so, how? If not, why not?
