Suppose you are looking to buy and manage a portfolio of approximately 50 commercial and residential sites. Search the Web for property management software and select two packages or Web-based services that you would consider to help you stay organized.
In a spreadsheet, identify at least 10 different areas where the software could help you, such as collecting rent, performing tenant background checks, and scheduling building maintenance.
Copy and paste the completed spreadsheet into a Word document. In that same document, write a 350- to 750-word summary to explain how each package addresses these functions and also how you could perform the task using general-purpose software such as Excel.
