you are to read an article in the Washington Post that discusses the municipal water problems in Flint, Michigan.  It may be found at http://wpo.st/cEhU1.

After reading the article, prepare and submit a short paper that discusses the engineering ethics involved in the overall decisions that were made and the subsequent actions.  You should specifically address several issues, such as:

1.  Which, if any, of the government officials violated the engineering code of ethics?  In what way did this violation occur?

2.  Did the actions of the professor Marc Edwards adhere to the engineering code of ethics?  If so, explain the part of the code that was involved.

3.  What actions should have been taken by the cognizant officials in charge of the Flint water system and the Michigan environmental management authorities?

4.  What actions should have been taken by Dr. Edwards?
