Ancient greek/Roman history (College level)

I need help posting a disussion for my online Greek/Roman history class.  The discussion is on the historical importance of Israel, specifically during the late bronze/early Iron age. After doing all my required readings, the only point I have come up with is the development of a monotheistic religion.  What (if any) important points am I missing? I dont want the discussion written for me, just some help and direction on the content. Doesnt need to be extensive, the requirement is about 200 words, so maybe just another idea or two. Thank you!
