NOTE:  You need the 2007 (or later) edition of this book.  It will 13 chapters (not 12).

For assigned texts (Loewen) you will write a response (at least 180-200 words for each chapter) to a prompt based on the readings assigned for that day. (answer qauestions ) : 

Loewen, Chapter 10

What is Loewen’s argument about 9/11 and what evidence does he rely on?  What do you think about American involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan? (answer qauestions by at least 180-200 words for each chapter)

Loewen Chapter 11

According to Loewen, what is the relationship between “progress” and environmental issues?  Give specific examples of his evidence.  Do you think ideas of “progress” are a problem in our society?  (answer qauestions by at least 180-200 words for each chapter)

Loewen Chapters 12 and 13

The titles of these two chapters are posed as questions: “Why is history taught like this?” and “What is the result of teaching history like this?”  Summarize Loewen’s answer to each question and identify at least two pieces of evidence from each chapter.  How do you think U.S. history should be taught?   (answer qauestions by at least 180-200 words for both chapters)
