Advanced Technical Writing

For this assignment you will submit five (5) annotated sources that you plan to use for completing your final analytical report.

Here are some things to consider:

1.      While there are several types of annotated bibliographies, for the purpose of this assignment your annotation should the Informative type. An informative annotation is essentially a straight summary of a book, article, lecture, or report that has been published in print or on a website. It focuses on key points the writer’s key points.
2.      If your analytical report is in the humanities field use the MLA (Modern Language Association) format. Your list of annotations should be titled “Annotated List of Works Cited.”
3.      If your analytical report is in the natural or social sciences use the APA (American Psychological Association) format. Your list of annotations should be titled “References.”
4.      In the next Discussion you will see five examples of annotated bibliographies. These should give you a pretty good idea of what I’m looking for in this assignment.
