Adolescent
An important fact that needs to be made public, ESPECIALLY to parents, is that children do not have a fully developed brain until they are twenty four or twenty five years old (Tamnes et al., 2011). POLICY- wants a young person to believe that they are an adult at eighteen; but they are not. As a consequence of that policy, there are young people making adult decisions with half a brain. There are many mistakes that young people make between the ages of eighteen through twenty-four because they believe that they are"grown"; then they spend a life time trying to recover from that mistake they made when they were young.
Now talk about a topic no one likes to bring up… school shootings. FedEx shootings. Ft. Hood Shootings. Etc. What is the age range of many of the shooters? Why do you think this is the age range that it usually happens? As has been stated earlier in adolescent age, this is the age of much mental illness development - is that correlated to this answer?
