1. Knowledge of the budget cycle and structure, and of accounting principles and procedures, in order to provide technical advice and guidance

2. Ability to conduct and review financial analyses, including analyzing programs for adequacy of funding

3. Skill in the use of the Financial Management System to research and resolve obligation and expenditure problems

4. Ability to plan, organize, and implement the facility's financial objectives to meet established standards

5. Ability to prepare and present a variety of budget reports using computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

6. Ability to clearly communicate factual budget information, both orally and in writing, in a manner appropriate to the audience being addressed (senior leadership, department leaders, medical staff, administrative staff, etc.)
