Improving patient safety has long been a major emphasis of the healthcare industry but the need for improved healthcare worker safety has not been equally recognized. Compare and contrast the arguments for improving patient safety with those for healthcare worker safety. Comment on why the impetus for healthcare worker safety has lagged behind that of patient safety. Offer a strategy for improving healthcare worker safety. 

The initial post should include at least 5 paragraphs. In the first paragraph introduce the topic.  The following three paragraphs comprise the results or body of the response and each paragraph should be supported by one peer reviewed source such as a journal article.

APA in-text citations should be included to identify information sources. The final paragraph is the conclusion that summarizes the topic and the results, and then draws conclusions based on the results.  A list of references in APA format should be included after the concluding paragraph.
