5 Health Reports assignments

Direction:

1. Read any recent health articles in a newspaper or magazine or online
2. Choose five health articles on different topics.
3. In five sentences summarize the article
4. Create a separate paragraph for conclusion,  here state whether you would recommend this article - why/ why not (3-5 sentences).  Analyze your recommendation

Each report should not exceed 8-15 sentences.

Each article must have: Your name, Reference the article in the APA/MLA form (either format is acceptable), title of the report, body of the report with pertinent information as stated in the article and conclusion.

 The purpose of this assignment is to assess your ability to delineate pertinent articles related to the topics discussed in this course, namely – psychological health, stress, nutrition and fitness, reproductive health, drugs, major chronic illnesses and environmental health.  Therefore please make sure that the five articles are from five different topics.  Points will be deducted if the topics are repeated.  To find the right type of articles, please read “Surfing for the Latest in Health” located in the first chapter of your textbook.

Grading criteria:Each report will be graded the following way:

• Good comprehensive five sentence summary=5points
• Good 3-5 sentence conclusion =2points
• Accurately written reference = 2 points
• grammar, format =1 point

 for a total of 10 points per report
