 I am sending the poetry for the essays. Please, everyone write an essay about Mark Twain's prose poem, _The War Prayer. Tell me what happens in this poem and what it is about and then tell me whether or not you agree with what Twain was attempting to accomplish in this piece. This essay should be typed and two pages or longer...double-spaced. Next choose two of the remaining three poems and write two essays. In each essay, please tell me what the poem is about and argue what the poet does well and what the poet fails to do well...if anything. In conclusion, tell me why you like or don't like the poem and why. Each of these two essays should be two typed pages or longer. We will discuss this assignment in class next week, but for now this should allow you to get started
